There are two important products from the Renaissance :
The Ancient Egyptians, now being the Jewish, at one time was the Ancient Greek, did produce Geometry, but is far less powerful than the Mathematics generated during the Renaissance period.
With Mathematics and Electricity, it is quite obvious that Computing-by-Machine is a necessity due to daily requirements. Nowadays, huge database to be computed by Super-Computers are very common and are being widely used in many aspects of some countries.
Before we come to this Computing-by-Machines, the British controlled much of the experimental facts. The Europeans that had colonized the world before the British did, such as The Dutch, The Spanish had collected some useful experimental results. The British assembled and re-organized those experimental results into ordered knowledge. But still, the British uphold the importance of the experimental results, and gave the named "Empirical formula" to show how important the experimental results meant for. The pronunciation of "Empirical" is quite similar to "Imperial", and that is why the British called their largest Chemical company, ICI = Imperial Chemical Industry.
The rising power of Germany sparked tensions between British and German. The British tried to sanction The German in many areas. Due to massive embargo from the British, The German developed their own ways of collecting the Empirical Formulae. The German used Mathematics and human imaginations to construct models.
