Many of you should have heard of "Nuclear Weapon".
Ever since J J Thompson gave Cathode Ray another identity : "Electron", Chemistry and Physics have a clear demarcation line : Chemistry focus on electrons, while Physics focus on anything other than electrons.
From electrons, we have covalent bonds, ionic bonds, Van der Waals force, Hydrogen bonds, metallic bonds, ... .
From "other than electrons", we have many calculations, and these calculations resulted in : activation energy, ionization energy, proton, neutron, neutrinos, ... .
We respect J J Thompson, but we cannot accept Cathode Ray = Electron, because if so "The Duality of Light" is a contradiction due to its definition, i.e. Cathode Ray (wave) = Electron (particle).
About the same era, the Henri Becquerel discovered radioactivity. So putting these 5 names together : J J Thompson, Cathode Ray, Electron, Henri Becquerel, radioactivity, and you get .... .
You are being misled by missing the truth: phases = solid phase, liquid phase and gaseous phase.
Only Iodine change from solid phase to gaseous phase without passing through liquid phase, therefore no "nuclear" explosion.
All radioactivity substances are in solid phase. These solids melts when heat strongly for longer time. And even longer longer ... longer time, they still remain in liquid phase, NOT in gaseous phase.
You can have molten iron, but you cannot see "vapourized" iron. "Vapourized" iron can only exit with harsh conditions, but can easily exist in calculations of Physics.
In another words, Physics calculations = Indexes calculations, exist not for experimental purposes but exist for "political" purposes. Do you all know this fact ?? Only Chemistry can provide you with partial or little fact, Physics is just a big bunch of imaginations and calculations served the political purposes.
Therefore : from solid phase to gaseous phase, IMPOSSIBLE !!
So what is nuclear weapon then ?? Nuclear weapon is the kind of weapon that vapourize "solid phase". Radioactive substances can change from solid phase to gaseous phase when a large amount of heat is applied to them, also known as explosion.
It is only a change of phase !! Nothing so big deal about it !! Using radioactive substances enclosed in very hard solid with big explosion in it, you can get "nuclear" explosions !! It is quite similar to internal combustible engine, only that the internal combustible engine uses "very small" explosion. Radioactive substances are easier to be vapoursed under small enclosed environment with big explosion then non-radioactive substances.
A imitation or mimic of "nuclear" weapon is employing organic substances with double bonds or triple bonds in solid phase. The double bond or triple bond make the organic solid easily vapourized when large amount of heat is applied. An example is the C4 plastic bomb. And the large amount of heat applied is through electricity.
